His competition for the goalkeeper of the season award has come from Sipho Chaine of Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns’ Ronwen Williams who have 11 clean sheets each.

Debate will linger for weeks about who should get the award with Chipezeze putting in more work for Magesi who have survived.

The reward for Chipezeze is that he has been called up for Zimbabwe national team duty.

Veteran goalkeeper Washington Arubi of Marumo Gallants has also been included in the squad with nine players currently playing in South Africa or have previously done so.

Teenage Hadebe, Walter Musona, Prince Dube, Daniel Msendami, Gerald Takwara, Munashe Garananga, and Khama Billiat have all been included.
