Cardoso coy on absence of Ribeiro & Mudau

The future of Brazilian midfielder Lucas Ribeiro Costa at Mamelodi Sundowns remains uncertain after he missed the MTN8 clash against Richards Bay in Tshwane on Sunday.

Sundowns beat Richards by 4-0 at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Atteridgeville to march to the semi-finals of the MTN8.

Also absent during the match against the Natal Rich Boys on Sunday was defender Khuliso Mudau. The Bafana Bafana defender is reported to have left the club's pre-season training in Rustenburg.

As reported by KickOff, The Brazilians are understood to have lost the services of striker Peter Shalulile, with information reaching this website is that the attacker collected his clearance at Chloorkop on Friday.

In the post-match press conference held after the game, Masandawana coach Migual Cardoso refused to comment on the future of both Riberio and Mudau.

"I will not here, as you may understand, start discussing what's happening with Lucas or Mudau or Thapelo Morena who was also not there," Cardoso said to the media after the game, when quizzed about the future of the duo.

"Obviously, as a coach, you want to have a team that is as complete as possible. All coaches want to receive reinforcements for the new season as quickly as possible. So it's where we are. But that doesn't mean that we can't cope with our responsibilities. Me, myself, I have to work on solutions rather than on problems", he added.

Meanwhile, Cardoso has also refused to shed light on the future of midfielder Thembinkosi Lorch, after the 32-year-old spent time on loan with Wydad AC in Morocco last season.

"Regarding Lorch, like Lucas, like Peter, like Mudau, I will not be discussing here. Lorch is the situation that is coming from the past and will also be addressed by the club at the proper time, and you will have the information and will be made to the public for sure", he added.
