A former Glasgow Rangers midfielder has praised Mamelodi Sundowns captain Themba Zwane, deeming him the greatest player of his generation.
The Story
AmaZulu midfielder Bongani Zungu has shown his admiration for Mamelodi Sundowns and Bafana Bafana international Themba Zwane following his comeback from a long-term injury.
Zwane and Zungu played together for several years at Downs before the latter moved to Europe, where he played for French club Amiens SC, Portuguese side Vitoria Guimaraes, and Scotland's Rangers.

Additionally, the two gifted midfielders reunited when the man nicknamed Ben 10 returned to the Brazilians in 2022, however, he eventually left the club for Usuthu this season.
On his IG status, Zungu conveyed his sincere admiration for Zwane, stating: "Best player in our generation, Mshishi, happy to see you back in action."
Mshishi, as Zwane is affectionately called, was sidelined by an Achilles injury sustained while on national team duty for seven months. He returned to the field this month for Miguel Cardoso’s talented team.

The 35-year-old star was a second-half substitute in Masandawana's goalless draw against Al Ahly in the CAF Champions League first-leg semi-final, a tie Downs ultimately advanced in due to the away-goal rule after the second leg in Cairo.
His return is a significant boost for the Tshwane giants, considering that they will need all their players available for the forthcoming Champions League final against Pyramids FC.
