Departing Kaizer Chiefs captain Yusuf Maart has penned a heartfelt farewell to the Khosi Nation following his move to Austria and on the back of making history for the Soweto giants.
Chiefs confirmed on Sunday evening that Maart would be leaving the club to join Austrian top-flight outfit, SV Ried.

The versatile midfielder leaves with 95 appearances under his belt, having joined three years ago.
Among the memories, the fanbase will remember the ambipedal star for his sensational halfway line goal against archrivals Orlando Pirates in the Soweto Derby back in October 2022, a strike that was later voted PSL Goal of the Season.
He also haunted Bucs once more, scoring the winning goal in a 2-1 Nedbank Cup final victory in May, thus captaining the side to a first trophy in 10 years, since the league title in 2015.
Through his agency, P Management Sports, the skipper has penned a farewell.
"Firstly, I want to express my deepest gratitude to the Chairman and CEO of Sekhukhune United for believing in my talent," wrote Maart .
"Their unwavering support and the leadership opportunities they provided were pivotal in shaping not only my confidence as a player but also as a person. The lessons I’ve learned will stay with me forever.
"I would also like to thank the Chairman of Kaizer Chiefs and the entire management for entrusting me with the honour of wearing the armband. Leading one of the biggest and most prestigious teams on the continent is something I will always cherish and be proud of.
"To all the coaches who have guided me throughout my journey, I am beyond grateful. The knowledge and wisdom you’ve shared have helped me grow in ways that go beyond the game itself. Your influence has shaped me into the player I am today.

"To my teammates, thank you for your support and the unforgettable moments we’ve shared on and off the field. But most importantly, I want to thank the Amakhosi faithful – the fans.
"Your unwavering belief in us through both the triumphs and the challenges has been a constant source of motivation.
"Amakhosi for Life," he concluded.
His departure also means the Glamour Boys will have to appoint a new captain for the new season, with both Inacio Miguel and Zitha Kwinika understood to be the frontrunners for the armband.
