Top 5 attackers Chiefs could choose from 

With Kaizer Chiefs having the need to beef up their squad after not qualifying for the MTN8, KickOff looks at the top five attackers within their reach in the PSL, according to statistics.

Chiefs missed out on the MTN8 qualification for the second season running, after ending in ninth spot in the Betway Premiership standings.  

Amakhosi would need varied reinforcements in their team, after ending with a negative goal difference of seven.

The Glamour Boys are one of the teams who have conceded the most goals, 32 - with only AmaZulu and Marumo Gallants conceding more, by the last or second last closing matchday. 

Nasreddine Nabi's charges have also scored one of the least, netting 25 goals in league 28 matches, with an average of 0,9 goal per game. 

In terms of attack, champions Mamelodi Sundowns players are leading the charts, as Lucas Ribeiro Costa has finished as a top scorer in the league with 16 goals, two goals ahead of Iqraam Rayners while Arthur Sales is third with eight goals. 

For Chiefs' perspective, they would not be able to overlook Stellenbosch' Devin Titus, who has scored eight goals in the league, alongside TS Galaxy striker Dzenan Zajmovic, who has scored the same number of goals.

The Soweto giants finished the season as the leading team in terms of chances created in the Premiership, even ahead of champions Sundowns and runners-up Orlando Pirates.  

However, Amakhosi looking at the statistics of the players who have the most assists, at the top is Sekhukhune United forward Keletso Makgalwa, who has 11 assists in the league.  

Makgalwa is only followed by Ribeiro and Rayners both with nine assists while Arthur Sales has managed eight assists.  

Other players not from the big teams who were decent in attack includes AmaZulu duo Tshepang Moremi, who had seven assists while Rowan Human recorded six assists.
