Chiefs fan: We've cried too much

In this edition of the Supporters Forum, Kaizer Chiefs' prominent supporter William Mukwevho speaks about the club's shortcomings following a defeat to Mamelodi Sundowns.

Chiefs put up a gallant display but fell short as they went down 1-0 to defending champions Sundowns at a packed Lucas Masterpieces Moripe Stadium on Saturday.

With that victory, Miguel Cardoso's charges have opened a mountainous gap of 18 points at the top of the standings, while Amakhosi wallow in eighth spot.

Up next for the men in Black and Gold is a Betway Premiership match against Magesi FC, who shocked all and sundry with a 1-0 win against SuperSport United on the weekend.

Notably, the top-flight newbies almost defeated Chiefs when the two met in the first round of the season, with the Soweto giants having to come from two goals down to salvage a point courtesy of a Mduduzi Shabalala brace.

Mukwevho has not lost all hope in his favourite team finishing the season strongly, while also going all the way in the Nedbank Cup to end an enduring trophy drought.

"I think consistency in our line-up has been our biggest problem this season. Our coach doesn't have his team yet because he rotates his players too much.

"He must be consistent in his first XI. Every game, there are changes. He must only change when there are suspensions and red cards. To be honest, we do have a team now. The management has made some good signings. We have three players in each position.

"Nabi must just have his strong first XI and not change it every time he plays a match. That's where Nabi is getting it wrong.

"But I appeal to our Chiefs players to make us happy going forward. We've cried too much."

Kick-off in Atteridgeville is at 15:30.
