Kaizer Chiefs wingback Dillan Solomons has lined up his words with a sense of candidness about how their season has rolled out.
Chiefs lifted the Nedbank Cup in ending the 10 years wait for silverware but been mediocre in the league.
A mere Top Eight place is not guaranteed with a game to spare after failing to win in the last eight league games.

"Obviously, we had goals for this season, and we haven’t reached them in the league and so for us that is already downwards for us," says Solomons.
"Winning the Nedbank has been fantastic, but for us to get into the Top Eight will be a successful season.
"For us not getting into the Top Eight is not what we want.
"We want to be in every single competition next season and that was the goal, which is to try and get into the Top Eight, try and get into CAF, try and win a trophy.
"That is what we aimed for.
"For us, not getting into the Top Eight will be disaster for us,” says Solomons, while disclosing what has contributed to these league struggles.
"I think it is a mentality thing.
"Playing cup games and playing league games are totally different.
"In cup games, you know you have to win, and I think if we take that mentality of cup games into league games, it will be better for us.
"In cup games, I don’t think there is anyone who could compare to us because we have gone all out in cup games.
"In the league, I think it is more of patience for us and that it will come, it will come.
"I think if we can use the cup mentality in the league, it will work for us better.
"I wouldn’t say it is a (mentality) problem, but it is something that we can work on as a team.
"As a team, if we can get our mentality a bit stronger, I think it will impact a lot of our results.
"We have people working with us behind the scenes on our mentality part of football.

"It is not just about coming here to training but working on the mind and seeing where we can improve.
"But it is more about you want to do it and if I can tell you that I’m working on my mentality, but if I don’t want to work on my mentality, then this is not going to work as a team.
"So, I think it is important for us wanting to work on certain things and hopefully you will get to see more of it," says Solomons.
