KickOff.com can confirm that Zakhele Lepasa’s name has repeatedly been waved in the face of Kaizer Chiefs with the Soweto giants still making considerations about beefing up their forward line.
Lepasa is a free agent after the end of his time at Orlando Pirates.

His availability comes at the back of having not played competitive football for 16 months due to injury related reasons.
The 28-year-old was last on the field in March last year when he came on as a late substitute against Moroka Swallows.
Then for his last 90 minutes run, the dates must move back almost two years back to August 2023 when his full shift came with a goal against Cape Town City.
While all these factors will be considered with concerns it doesn’t discount the options he brings when available to play.
This is what Chiefs have been faced with upon the mention of his name by those from his camp.
Amakhosi have had Lepasa’s name being thrown in their direction at least twice to date.
With Nasreddine Nabi having recruitment influence, he will have a say in determining whether the club considers Lepasa.
Lepasa will welcome his selection to the CHAN squad where there are at least four games to be played in the next three weeks.
Bafana play Algeria on August 8 then Guinea three days later while the last two group matches will be against Niger on August 15 before the date against Uganda in front of their home fans on August 18.
All matches will be played at the Mandela National Stadium in Kampala.
These games will provide another dimension of evaluating for Chiefs about where Lepasa in matters relating to his match fitness.
Lepasa has goals in him especially when playing for a team able to create chances like Chiefs.

He was on double figures in the 2023/24 season which attracted Bafana Bafana head coach Hugo Broos who took him to the last AFCON finals.
His package will not be a challenge, as his priority is getting minutes again rather than chasing money.
