Club legend Neil Tovey has revealed how he inherited the famous Kaizer Chiefs number 9 jersey despite arriving at the Soweto giants as a defensive player.
Tovey is regarded as one of the club's greatest players and defenders while going on to lift the Africa Nations Cup with Bafana Bafana in 1996.

'Mokoko' began his Chiefs career as a defensive-midfielder before eventually switching to centre-back after joining from AmaZulu in the late nineties.
"When I was playing at AmaZulu, I was number 6, and when I played for Chiefs every person had their specific numbers," Tovey tells KickOff.
"It depends on who is playing every match, it didn't depend on who is playing in a match no, everybody had his own jersey number.
"At AmaZulu it was like that, but number 6 was available. When I went to Chiefs number 6 wasn't available.
"Johannes Molatedi wore number 6, Mike Mangena wore number 9 but had just left the year before.
"He left, so the number 9 was available. so, when it came to the national team as well I took number 9.
"In the national team, Philemon Masinga wore number 6, so I wore 9."
