Buthelezi: Arthur needs to believe in Zwane

Former Kaizer Chiefs and Bafana Bafana legend Linda "Mercedes-Benz" Buthelezi says the club's youngster Samkelo Zwane should have been voted man of the match.

Amakhosi were unlucky to lose 1-0 to DStv Premiership log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns and dropped to position 6th on the log.

"Arthur Zwane is coaching very well, I'd like to encourage him to continue using the youngsters because they are the club's future," Buthelezi tells KickOff.com.

"For me, Zwane [Samkelo] is the man of the match. He's got what I look for in a player.

"He always maintains as a central midfielder. As for Arthur, he exposed Sundowns that you can beat them as much as they are consistent.

"Imagine if Kaizer Chiefs were to play against Sundowns every day? Surely the fields were going to be level.

"Yes, I'm not happy based on the missed chances. You need to have an attitude if you are playing for Kaizer Chiefs.

"But Samkelo Zwane is my man of the match even though he was substituted, the reason he was substituted is that Arthur's technical change was based on experience.

"There was nothing wrong with pulling him out, but I think he needs to believe in that boy because he can win him games.

"He should use the boy a lot because as a central midfielder, that boy is a thinker.

"He is very special Samkelo Zwane he can read the game.

"He is very important because he is a very good passer.

"I understand strikers like Pollen Ndlanya and Phil Masinga are very scarce, you only have people like Shaun Bartlett and staff who rely on pace.

"I was not happy with our striker [Caleb Bimenyimana] who looked lost.

"He was bottled, of course, it's difficult to play when you have three people marking you, but you need character as a striker.

"But overall Arthur he mustn't be scared of using youngsters. That way they will be encouraged."
