"Makabi Lilepo is no longer (at) Valenciennes.
"Having arrived in Hainaut in October 2023, the Congolese striker left VAFC this Monday to join the South African club Kaizer Chiefs.
"In just over a year, the 27-year-old will have played 46 matches in all competitions for the Red and Whites (7 goals and 5 assists).
"Particularly comfortable in the Coupe de France (4 goals), he made his mark last season in Rouen by scoring the decisive penalty that qualified for the semi-final, a first for VA in 54 years.
"Thanks for everything Makabi and good luck for the rest of your career!" reads the statement from the French club.
Amakhosi have since announced their first signing of the January transfer window on Monday.
"We are very pleased to announce the acquisition of a player with his experience and wish him all the best. We'll do our utmost to help him settle in quickly and look forward to seeing him in action soon," said club Sporting Director, Kaizer Motaung Jr., as per Chiefs' official website.
