Kaizer Chiefs’ perfect start to the season has pushed up the volume for the Soweto giants in anticipation of what could become of this season.
Three games, three wins, four scored, zero conceded has Chiefs in a place of comfort giving hopes of dreaming.

It is obviously early but all points in the bag always count and carry the same value in a league campaign which still has another 27 to play for AmaKhosi.
What will thrill the Chiefs faithful is that the last time they won the first three they went on to end the season as champions.
This was the 2014/15 season when they went on to win the first eight league games.
Those 24 points meant they would ultimately need another 39 from 22 games as to wrap up the title with three games to play.
Before they won the first three in the 2011/12 season recording victories against Jomo Cosmos, Moroka Swallows, and BidVest Wits.
Unfortunately, they finished fifth with Vladimir Vermezovic making way for Doctor Khumalo and Ace Khuse towards the end of the season.
Another treble of wins at start which came with a good ending was in the 2004/05 campaign when they went past Dynamos, Manning Rangers, and Silver Stars and were crowned champions when they got to the finishing line.
The late Ted Dumitru was calling the shots.

Then the first season they won three consecutive matches was 2001/02.
They beat Wits University, Tembisa Classic, and Bush Bucks but only finished ninth after they went on to draw 13 and lose nine under Muhsin Ertugral.
The plus was that they won the BP Top 8, Coca-Cola Cup, and CAF Cup Winners’ Cup.
