Chippa United have made their second coaching appointment of the season after the abrupt departure of Sinethemba Badela only one game into the new campaign.
Speculation has been ongoing regarding who would succeed Badela, and KickOff.com reported on Thursday that Luc Eymael was the favourite to land the job. He has previously led sides such as Free State Stars and Polokwane City FC, among others.

The Belgian made history by guiding the now-defunct Ea Lla Koto to victory in the Nedbank Cup final, beating Maritzburg United 1-0 back in 2018. This was the side's first piece of silverware since 1994 and their first in the PSL era.
He is credited with nurturing the talent of players such as Makhehleni Makhaula and Bafana Bafana international Nyiko Mobbie while there.
As revealed by this website, Eymael is already in South Africa and is expected to be officially announced by the Gqeberha-based outfit on Friday.
“It’s not a rumour; I’m here in Port Elizabeth. I arrived on Thursday morning at 08:30, and we have been at immigration for a work permit,” Eymael told KickOff.com, exclusively.
According to sources, he has signed a one-year contract with the option of an additional year.
