Thamsanqa Gabuza: Orlando Pirates can win the League

The Buccaneers' hopes of silverware for the rest of the campaign lies in the League and Nedbank Cup, having narrowly lost out on the CAF Confederation Cup last month.

Pirates, who trail log leaders Bidvest Wits by 15 points, are in 11th position on the standings with just three wins from nine games.

"Yes, we can win the League," Gabuza said when asked if they can challenge for League honours.

"We've played few games, we're down [now] but we've got depth."

Gabuza, who shared the Golden Boot in the Confed Cup with six goals, has asked The Ghost to keep faith in the team.

"To the fans, they must continue supporting us because we tried our best not just in Confederation Cup but in the League as well.

"We ask them to come in numbers to support us and everything we do. We'll do it for them and the club."

Bucs will end 2015 with a League game against high-flying Mamelodi Sundowns at Loftus Versveld Stadium on December 20.
