Themba Zwane returns to boost Mamelodi Sundowns vs Al Ahly

Zwane missed the first leg in Egypt where Al Ahly beat Sundowns 2-0 to boost their chances of qualifying for the CAF Champions League semi-finals.

'Mshishi' trained with The Brazilians this week with no discomfort to give the club hope that he will be fit to face the Red Devils in Atteridgeville tomorrow.

Bafana Ba Style co-coach Manqoba Mngqithi says the doctors have given the club a positive report about Zwane's chances of playing on Saturday.

"The doctors have indicated that he is looking well and in the training sessions we had he felt no pain," said Mngqithi ahead of the much-awaited clash.

"He has been training regularly to try to keep himself fit and we are more than optimistic he [will be back] to help us.

"Upon analysing the game, because we have done a lot of work on the game already and looking at the cause of what happened in Egypt, we believe the role of Mshishi is still immense in the team.

"A lot of openings that Mshishi could have created for us in the areas of the field that he normally occupies were not occupied the way we would like them to be occupied.

"So we believe that if he comes in and helps the team, he will definitely help the team get the results."
