Mosimane and the Red Devils are in Atteridgeville today for the CAF Champions League quarter-final return leg against Mamelodi Sundowns.
Ahly are carrying a 2-0 advantage after winning the first leg in Cairo last Saturday.
The Egyptian giants have visited Lucas Moripe Stadium a few times before including the famous 5-0 massacre against The Brazilians when Mosimane was still sitting on the opposite bench.
"Al Ahly has been to Lucas Moripe Stadium," said Mosimane ahead of the much-anticipated encounter in Tshwane.
"We know Mamelodi Sundowns in the Champions League. They went there against Al Ahly even when I was there. So it's not the first time.
"As long as the pitch is okay. Lucas Moripe Stadium always has a good pitch and so there are no issues."
Some Sundowns fans have chosen to support Mosimane over their local team for the match, which has captured the imagination of the whole continent.
