The second leg will then be played at the June 30 Stadium in Cairo on June 1 as Sundowns seek to lift their second ever title.
This final will come with USD4 million (approx. R73 million) for the winners plus a ticket to the CAF Super Cup which offers USD500 000 (approx. R9,1 million).
So, while The Brazilians have pegged entrance at only R20 they could bank R82 million after the two legs and the once off CAF Super Cup.
Sundowns have abandoned the free entrance offer (as per CAF’s order) that has been the norm in the Champions League after crowd disturbances against Esperance in the quarterfinals.
General admission for the semifinal against Al Ahly then became R20 which will now be maintained for the final.
R20 – which approximates to USD1 becomes the cheapest ticket price to watch a CAF Champions League match this season and far much lower than what fans in other countries on the continent pay as entrance fee for a local league match.
