KickOff can reveal that a member of the Bafana Bafana technical team is on his way to a New Zealand club for coaching purposes with plans for similar local trips in future.

He will be conducting coaching clinics in junior and senior players' programmes that will be hosted by New Zealand outit Takapuna Football Club.

"It's my third time going over there to do a bit of coaching. I've got family and friends that live over there. My daughter lives over there," confirms Johnson, in conversation with KickOff.com.
"So, whenever I go over, the local clubs always ask me to do some coaching clinics, which I've done a couple of times.
"This time, I will also chat with the coaches and help them identify coaching sessions and coaching drills that enable the coaches to know how to deal with the goalkeepers in case they don't have goalkeeper coaches in their clubs.
"I will be doing some coaching with kids and some of the first team guys, and also the 'Coach the Coach' sessions.
"The guys over there always want new information and new knowledge. They understand sometimes an outsider can bring in new ideas.

"In New Zealand, they are always hungry for some new information, and that's probably why they are good at all the sporting codes.
"I'm looking forward to having a good trip. I want to do something similar in South Africa. We need to have clinics and help young goalkeeper coaches."
