Legendary Bloemfontein Celtic goalkeeper Patrick Tignyemb has detailed the incredible story of how he missed out on a dream move to French club Paris Saint-Germain.
Tignyemb was part of Cameroon's 2004 Afcon finals squad as a teenaged goalkeeper before then shortly after finding himself at PSG the following year.

"I went to PSG for trials in 2005 because at the time Lionel Letizi was in dispute with the club over a salary cut and I had been the top keeper in Cameroon for two years," Tignyemb tells snl24.com/kickoff.
"He (Letizi) didn't want his salary to be cut instead insisting that he would rather leave which is when PSG started looking for another keeper. My agent secured a two-week trial, with the coach at the time Valid Halilhodzic approving that I be brought in.
"So I did my medical tests which were perfect, and they then moved me from the academy residence to a hotel with my fellow countryman Modeste M'bami being tasked with finding me an apartment in Paris.
"However, Letizi then decided to accept the salary cut because he couldn't leave his family in Paris.
"The coach then asked that I join the reserve team and I agreed because the coach came directly to me. They then approached my agent and he said no to me going to the reserve team and he would rather get me another club. My agent didn't want me to go to the reserve team because it would have meant far less money for him.
"He wasn't interested in my career but just wanted to make money out of me. That agent destroyed everything for me. He wanted me to stay in the hotel for three months not playing while he looks around for another club, but I refused and went back to Cameroon the next day without informing him."
The legendary Celtic goalkeeper also detailed how he similarly missed out on a move to Spain with Racing Club Santander.
"In Spain, my issue was that I had an African passport and they wanted me to come in with a European Union passport which they wanted to organise for me with the help of Samuel Eto'o," Tignyemb added.
"I did my pre-season with the first team with everything was looking well but unfortunately Eto'o couldn't come. My agent then suggested that I marry his sister to get an EU passport and after the marriage, I would then get divorced.
"But I refused since I had my love back home and didn't want the agent's sister to end up falling in love with me as well. I couldn't sacrifice my true relationship for this, so the club and agent were angry, and I then left."
Tignyemb resides back home in Cameroon where he is setting up various business interests after receiving a substantial payout of R3 million from Celtic last month.
