The former Ismaily manager who faced up against both tacticians in the Egyptian Premier League described both as 'great' coaches but admits he prefers Mosimane's tactical style.
Mosimane joined Ahly in September last year as the replacement for Rene Weiler straight after leading Mamelodi Sundowns to a domestic treble.
He continued his incredible success in Cairo by leading the Red Devils to the CAF Champions League and Egypt Cup triumph which completed a treble for the Egyptian giants in the 2019/20 campaign.
Since then he steered Ahly to third place in the recent FIFA Club World Cup, while Pacheco, who met the South African in the Champions League final, has since been sacked for Patrice Carteron at the White Knights.
"Mosimane is a great coach. I said that games like the one against AS Vita in Egypt show how you can play as a team, it concerns the coach's ideas and not the quality of players," the Bosnian told ON Time Sport.
"Pacheco is also a great coach but Zamalek play differently. Al Ahly plays in a more direct way while Zamalek build the attack with more patience.
"What is my preference? The direct way. In Europe, most clubs play this way especially in the Premier League."
After a one week break, Mosimane has returned to Cairo where he's now preparing the squad for their next Champions League clash in Sudan against Al-Merrikh SC.
