Cristiano Ronaldo's 7 records at Euro 2020 so far

Following Portugal's Group F fixture against France on Wednesday, Cristiano Ronaldo has now broken seven records at the 2020 UEFA European Championship.

The Portuguese forward's brace in the 2-2 draw between the two footballing powerhouses ensured that he equalled the all-time record for the most goals scored for an international side, with both Ronaldo and Iran's Ali Daei on 109 goals each.

Following A Selecao's latest match, the Juventus star is now in possession of the record for the most goals at Euros and FIFA World Cups combined with 21 goals after moving beyond Germany icon Miroslav Klose's tally of 19 strikes across the two competitions.

Ronaldo is currently top of the Euro 2020 scoring chart with five strikes in three games, giving him the record for the most goals scored in European Championship history with 14 goals. He is also the player with the most victories in the tournament's history (12), and the footballer who has scored the most penalties in a single Euros campaign (three).

The other milestones he has achieved in this tournament show the longevity of his career, with Ronaldo becoming the first player in history to feature in five Euro tournaments, as well as the first to score in five Euros, which also saw him become the oldest goalscorer in Portugal's major tournament history.

A Selecao are now set to face Belgium in the competition's round of 16, and with the 36-year-old still in the torunament, he is on the brink of breaking three more records.

He only needs one assist and one more goal to have the most assists in the tournament history and to be the sole highest goalscorer in international football, respectively.

He is also just two games shy of Sergio Ramos' record for the highest-capped European international player, so should Portugal qualify for the competition's semi-finals, he will claim that milestone too.
