Christian Eriksen gives fans update on condition after collapsing at Euro 2020

Fans and players around the world were left devasted when Eriksen shockingly collapsed during Denmark's opening 2020 UEFA European Championship match against Finland on Saturday.

The Inter Milan playmaker was stretchered off the field just before half-time and was taken to the hospital for further evaluation.

Today, the 29-year-old midfielder has provided a positive update on his wellbeing, assuring everyone that he is okay.

"Hello everyone. Big thanks for your sweet and amazing greetings and messages from all around the world. It means a lot to me and my family," he wrote in a message on Instagram.

"I'm fine – under the circumstances. I still have to go through some examinations at the hospital, but I feel okay. Now, I will cheer on the boys on the Denmark team in the next matches. Play for all of Denmark."

There is no official confirmation as to whether or not the midfielder will play again at Euro 2020, but as things stand, it seems unlikely.
