Siwelele played a high line against the Brazilians constantly threatening with their wing play but could not create clear chances as they lost 1-0 to Pitso Mosimane’s charges in the Telkom Knockout round of 16.
“I thought it was a good game. We came here with a plan to press them high and take the game to them. We tried our best to carry out that plan. Unfortunately they got the result,” Gordinho told SuperSport TV.
“We really wanted it. We pushed until the last minute. It’s one of those things in the Knockout tournament but I thought the boys did well.
“I think the coach will be okay. We want to win all the time but we tried.
“We knew it was going to be high tempo game, a night game coming away. We were ready for it. The game started very high, both teams came out firing. I thought it was a good game all round."
