Ouaddou: It’s a big disappointment

Orlando Pirates coach Abdeslam Ouaddou says the defeat to Marumo Gallants is a 'big disappointment' as they remain winless in the Betway Premiership.

Pirates had the perfect start to the clash with a goal from Patrick Maswanganyi, but they were undone by Daniel Msendami's goal on the stroke of halftime before Jaisen Clifford netted the winner in time added on.

It was a second successive loss for the Soweto giants, who have zero points from the opening two matches.

“Of course, it’s not the result we expected. We came here with a lot of ambition to take the three points we lost at home. I can say that we started very well the game – opening the score with a lot of chances again we didn’t put in the net,” Ouaddou told SuperSport TV.

“Like I said when you don’t score you gave the opportunity to finish you, so it’s a big disappointing that we start very bad and we’ll sit and think about that.

With the pressure coming so early in the season, the Buccaneers return to the drawing board as rivals Mamelodi Sundowns lie and wait in the MTN8 semi-finals first-leg on Saturday.

“Of course, we are going to analyse the game and to see what’s going wrong especially in the second half. We tried to make some changes.

“Unfortunately, the changes we did they didn’t give what we expect from them, their level. Ja, it’s a big disappointment but we going to sit, to analyse and to come back stronger."
