The South African joins a host of new recruits, including El Mehdi Benabid, Mohammed El Jadidi, Zakaria Fatihi, and Fahd Moufi, as Wydad look to strengthen their squad for the remainder of the season.
Previous reports have suggested that Lorch's signing is a crucial part of the side's strategy to bolster their ranks and make a strong push for a top finish in the Botola Pro 1.
With the club currently sitting fourth in the standings, there is said to be an ambition to secure a place in next season's continental competitions, which made reinforcements a top priority.
According to Arabic publication Kooora, The Red Devils' decision to acquire Lorch was heavily influenced by the technical team's plans to reinforce their options up front.
It is believed that coach Rulani Mokwena played a key role in advocating for the move, recognising Lorch's experience and ability to make an impact in the final third.
The newly-signed star is expected to form a formidable partnership with compatriot Cassius Mailula and fill the void left by Senegalese forward Mbaye Niang, who recently departed the club.
Despite already having seven foreign players on their books, the Moroccan are understood to have opted to register Tanzanian Suleiman Mwalimu and Brazilian Arthur in the reserve and youth categories, allowing them to benefit from the remaining five foreign players in their main squad for league fixtures.
