Following a breakout season in Spain last term, Samuel Eto'o's son, Etienne Eto'o, has secured a new move for the 2025/26 season.
Etienne Eto'o enjoyed an outstanding 2024/25 campaign with the reserve team of his parent club, Rayo Vallecano.
The prodigious striker scored 30 goals last season, earning several call-ups to the senior men’s team in LALIGA.

His impressive goal-scoring exploits have paved the way for a new chapter in the 23-year-old’s career, as he has now secured a loan move to CD Mirandés in Spain’s second tier, where he will play first-team football.
In a statement on their official website, the club wrote: "CD Mirandés and Rayo Vallecano have reached an agreement for the loan of Cameroonian striker Etienne Eto’o. The footballer will join the training sessions of the red-and-black team under the guidance of Fran Justo starting Tuesday, 2 September.
"Etienne Eto’o Pineda (Palma de Mallorca, 2002) is a natural goalscorer. The Cameroonian forward has scored goals for every team he has played for, from his youth development at RCD Mallorca, Atlético Baleares, and Real Oviedo to his current stint with Rayo Vallecano’s ‘B’ team, where he netted 30 goals last season.
"His outstanding campaign earned him a debut with Rayo Vallecano’s first team, for whom he also scored an official goal in the Copa del Rey against CD Villamuriel.
"Etienne Eto’o is a tall striker with great potential in aerial play, while also possessing considerable skill. He has a true goalscorer’s instinct, a classic number nine with an unwavering focus on finding the back of the net.
"Additionally, on the international stage, he has represented the Cameroon U20 national team, participating in the U20 Africa Cup of Nations."
