Al Ahly's warning to Pirates: 'Our goal is to top the group'

Al Ahly captain Mohamed El-Shenawy says the team are wary of Orlando Pirates, who described as a strong competitor ahead of their CAF Champions League group stage clash.

The Buccaneers and Al Ahly will battle it out for top spot in Group C on Saturday evening in Cairo.

The two sides played to a 0-0 draw in the first group stage meeting at Orlando Stadium last year.

With top spot in the group up for grabs, El-Shenawy is hoping the supporters in Cairo will push them over the edge.

"We are ready for the match, and we know how difficult it will be against a strong competitor," El-Shenawy said, as per Kooora.

"Our goal is to win and top the group, although Orlando is a strong team, and has achieved many victories inside and outside its stadium in the group stage

"We are waiting for the fans to be present in large numbers to raise the enthusiasm and morale of the Al-Ahly players, and we are training hard and renewing our motivation in order to continue achieving victories.

"Our goal is always for Al-Ahly to remain in first place, win titles and please its fans
