According to Daily Telegraph journalist Mike McGrath, Wolves are closing in on the former Buccaneers star's signature, with an agreement said to be close.
However, with the deadline day set to end on 3 February, the Molineux club will have to act swiftly in order to get the deal over the line.
The 28-year-old has been a notable figure since joining Ligue 1 outfit Stade Reims from Pirates in 2019, making 159 appearances and contributing 21 goals and 14 assists across all competitions.
This season, he has made 19 Ligue 1 appearance, missing out on just one game, also wearing the captain armband on a few occasions.
McGrath has suggested that the Wanderers view Munetsi as a player who could come in and bolster their current squad.
"Wolves are close to agreeing a deal with Reims for Marshall Munetsi. The 28-year-old Zimbabwe international has been a regular in Ligue 1 for five seasons and targeted to bolster Vitor Pereira's midfield," he wrote on X.
