In this edition of Supporters Forum, SuperSport United fan Jones 'Bra Jones' Shakoane reveals to KickOff what he told the club CEO Stan Matthews when the club was still in position 11 on the log table.
Shakoane says as fans they have given the club management a top-four finish mandate in the 2025/2026 Betway Premiership Season.
The former PSL champions finished in position 14 on the log table last season, surviving relegation by the skin of their teeth.
"I was not happy with what we were put through last season as fans, I was even fighting with my CEO about it," Shakoane tells KickOff.
"I was complaining about coach Gavin Hunt, about the front line, we were losing games we should be winning. And the coach couldn't tell us what was the problem. That's what I told my CEO.
"That time the team was still in position 11 on the log. We were starting to drop points. I told my CEO 'Now you are killing me. What's happening with our team? We have players who have been with the team for five years but they don't even have five goals. Some players only perform for two months, and they become benchwarmers. Is our coach's tactics too old? Are you treating the players well? What's happening?'.
"My CEO's response was, 'Nah, we are going forward, we will win', but the thing is, we were not winning. The players were not giving us results," he added.
"But next season we expect to see SuperSport United back at the top where they belong. We expect to finish in position three or four on the log table.
"We don't know who is going to be the coach, but we suspect it's gonna be one of our former players. Stan Matthews has assured me the team is not going anywhere as they plan to fix all their mistakes.
"He assured me the team is not for sale. He said it's all hearsay."
