The SABC’s Kaizer Kganyago says the organisation is working around the clock to ensure the match is broadcast live. “This [match arrangements] was only finalised last week so right now we are speaking to the rights holder, but I can’t divulge who that is,” Kganyago says. “But the SABC intends to broadcast the match live, but we are still negotiating ... the intention is to broadcast the match,” Kganyago adds. Communications director of Safa, Morio Sanyane, confirmed on Monday that kick-off will be 6pm South African time on Saturday, May 14. Meanwhile, Sanyane confirmed yesterday that Safa and SABC are still negotiating the broadcast deal, after it expired on March 31 so right now showing the national team is on “arrangement” after engagement between the two parties since they are yet to reach common ground on the new deal. Sanyane said: “Discussions are currently underway with the SABC and we don’t have a contract as yet. [But] I don’t have the full details and we will find out from the negotiating team,” he said.
