Kevin-Prince Boateng insists his AC Milan side can get the better of Barcelona

The under-fire Ghana midfielder will have the chance to shine on one of the biggest stages in world football when Milan travel to the Nou Camp to face Messi and co on Wednesday in the highlight of the Champions League group stage opening games.

And Boateng says the prospect of playing against a side considered by many as the best in the world is what he bargained for.

But he knows too that it will require a lot of work like stopping Xavi and Inesta if they are to come away with anything meaningful from the Nou Camp.

"If I thought we couldn't win, then I wouldn't be playing football. I dreamed of a game like this since I was a kid. Nobody is unbeatable," Boateng told Gazzetta dello Sport.

"We have to stay solid and united, because we're on their turf and must defend well. In attack we have exceptional strikers and sooner or later we will score. I think it'll end 1-1.

"If we don't give Xavi and Andres Iniesta time to think, then it becomes very difficult for them to find the net. Those two are the right and left side of the Barcelona brain. Without the brain, teams cannot play."
