Comitis: My players are going nowhere

Cape Town City FC chairman John Comitis has explained his plans for the club's contracted players ahead of next season.
The Citizens have now been relegated to the Motsepe Foundation Championship and questions have been raised on if the Cape Town based club will be able to keep their best players going into the new season, now that they will be campaigning in the second tier.
Darren Keet, Lorenzo Gordinho, Thabo Nodada, Luphumlo Sifumba, Idumba Fasika, Thabo Nodada, Jaedin Rhodes, Haashim Domingo, Gabriel Amato, and Emile Witbooi, are some of the players expected to attract some interest from Betway Premiership clubs.
Comitis says he plans to keep all his top players as he looks to make a quick return to the Betway Premiership, even though he admits keeping them might prove a challenge.
"My players are going nowhere," Comitis tells KickOff.
"But there's some of them we won't be able to afford unfortunately, but at the same time it's day one, and there are lots of emotions involved in my thinking at the moment.
"And that is not always the best way to deal with things, so we are taking a step back to see what might be the next approach for us."
