Pitso Mosimane has arrived in Saudi Arabia where he is set to take charge of second division side Al-Ahli.

South Africa's flag bearing coach Pitso Mosimane has completed the near-5500 kilometre journey to Jeddah in Saudi Arabia where he is set to commence with his duties as the new head coach of second division side Al-Ahli.

Mosimane was appointed as the three-time top-flight champions' new head coach last month as the replacement for Uruguayan tactician Robert Siboldi and has been tasked with guiding the club to promotion.

The club took to social media on Monday to reveal that the former Al Ahly and Mamelodi Sundowns boss had arrived in the country with a video showing the 58-year-old being greeted by officials at the King Abdulaziz International Airport.

Mosimane is expected to take charge of his first training session on Tuesday ahead of Wednesday's league encounter away to cross-town rivals Jeddah Club.
