UEFA Europa League groups confirmed, 2020/21 Player of the Season announced

The 2021/22 UEFA Europa League group stage draw has now been confirmed, and some nail-biting fixtures have been lined up, while the competition's 2020/21 Player of the Season was also announced.

The groups for UEFA's second-biggest club competition were completed in this afternoon's draw in Istanbul, Turkey, at the same venue where the Champions League draw took place on Thursday night.

Villarreal striker Gerard Moreno also walked away with the 2020/21 UEFA Europa League Player of the Season award at the event, beating Manchester United's duo of Edinson Cavani and Bruno Fernandes to the prize.
