FC Barcelona progressed to the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League following a 4-2 aggregate win over Napoli on Saturday evening.
Sergi Roberto, Clement Lenglet, Jordi Alba, Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi retained their spots from their last encounter against Deportivo Alaves in LaLiga, whereas Diego Demme returned for Napoli.
Dries Mertens nearly gave the visiting side the perfect start inside three minutes after flashing against the outside post following a looping delivery.
Barcelona got their noses in front seven minutes later when Clement Lenglet leaped unmarked to a corner-kick to head past a scrambling David Ospina.
Messi put the Spanish heavyweights on a comfortable pedestal 23 minutes in after evading three bodies before curling into the bottom corner from inside the area.
Messi seemed to have doubled his tally with a close-range finish following the half-hour mark, but it was disallowed after the Argentine was deemed to have handled Frenkie De Jong's supply.
Napoli's evening were compounded right on the cusp of halftime when Kalidou Koulibaly brought down Messi in the area, which allowed Suarez to convert from the penalty spot to extend the home side's advantage.
Lorenzo Insigne however gave his side a fighting chance seconds later with a finish from the penalty spot after Ivan Rakitic brought down Mertens just before the interval.
An alteration from the Napoleons had Demme making way for Stanislav Lobotka straight after halftime with the contest slightly in the balance.
Mertens, assisted by Insigne, looked to bring Napoli back with a threatening move near the area ten minutes from the break, but the Belgian forward failed to get the better of Marc Andre Ter Stegen.
Napoli looked for inspiration from the dugout under the final 20 minutes, as Hirving Lozano and Matteo Politano entered as offensive reinforcements.
This move paid no dividends despite Lozano heading against the post off a cross late on, as Barca confirmed a last eight clash with Bayern Munich.
