UEFA Champions League group stage wrap 26 September 2017

Harry Kane bagged a hat-trick as Tottenham Hotspur beat APOEL Nicosia 3-0 at the GSP Stadium. Spurs went into the break 1-0 up before Kane sealed the game with two second half strikes.

The London side have won their two opening fixtures and sit level on points with Real Madrid atop Group H.

Two goals from Cristiano Ronaldo and one from Gareth Bale saw Real Madrid to a win over Borussia Dortmund, despite Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s consolation strike.

Bale scored the opener in the 18th minute before Ronaldo doubled Real Madrid’s lead four minutes into the second half. Aubameyang scored in the 54th minute, but Ronaldo sealed the game 25 minutes later.

Manchester City beat Shakhtar Donetsk 2-0 in their Group F clash at the Etihad Stadium.

Kevin de Bruyne scored the opening goal in the 48th minute before Raheem Sterling rounded proceedings up with a goal right before the end of the game.

Last season’s semi-finalists AS Monaco were beaten 3-0 by FC Porto at Stade Louis II — largely due to a stunning performance from Vincent Aboubakar.

Aboubakar scored in the 31st and 69th minute before Miguel Layun topped the win off with an 89th minute strike.

Liverpool were held to their second successive draw in this season’s UEFA Champions League by Spartak Moscow at the Otkrytie Arena.

Fernando scored the opening goal of the game in the 23rd minute, but Philippe Coutinho cancelled it out in the 31st.

Nevertheless, Liverpool will be disappointed not to have claimed what would have been a welcome three points.

Besiktas 2-0 Red Bull Leipzig

Napoli 3-1 Feyenoord

Sevilla 3-0 Maribor
