Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has lauded Cristiano Ronaldo as the 'best in the world'

Ronaldo is currently serving a five-match domestic ban but made his return to action in the European Cup this week with a brace to help the Galacticos dispatch APOEL Nicosia 3-0.

“He’s the best in the world,” Zidane said of Ronaldo to BeIN.

“He’s always there, he always scores. If he was luckier today, he could have scored four.

“We know the ability that Cristiano has.”

Ronaldo was not the only star on display in midweek as Sergio Ramos scored a stupendous overhead kick, one which Zidane admitted not even he could have performed during his playing days.

The boss said: “I could not do that, only a few can.

“Sergio normally scores with his head, but he has the ability to score a bicycle kick on occasion.”
