Real Madrid: Jose Mourinho responds to return talk amidst uncertain future of Santiago Solari

Real head coach Santiago Solari has reportedly been set a target of securing a fourth consecutive UEFA Champions League title in order to stand a chance of retaining his role as head coach next season.

This after Real suffered successive Clasico defeats at the Santiago Bernabeu over the last few days, the first of which dumped them out of the Copa del Rey and the second seemingly ending their La Liga title hopes.

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino, Juventus' Massimiliano Allegri and Germany boss Joachim Low are said to be in contention to replace the Argentine but Mourinho has talked-up a return to the European champions.

"I think it's really a reason of pride when a club where you worked before wanting you back. They are the iconic club, I think so you know 13 Champions Leagues."

Mourinho managed Los Blancos between 2010 and 2013 - won one La Liga title and one Copa del Rey during his stint at the club.
