Marco Verratti issues UEFA Champions League warning after PSG's thrashing of Bayern Munich

Dani Alves, Edinson Cavani and Neymar all got on the scoresheet at Parc des Princes last night to make it back-to-back UEFA Champions League wins for Les Parisians, who previously hammered Celtic 5-0 on Matchday 1.

And, Verratti feels PSG did very little to secure such a dominant win over Bayern, one of the continent’s biggest teams, giving him plenty of confidence ahead of the remainder of their European Cup campaign.

"I think the first goal we scored after two minutes gave us an advantage because we knew that Bayern was a team who plays a lot with the ball,” he said.

“They attack a lot. We also knew that when we got the ball back we could really hurt them because we had a lot of space and with the three really fast players that we have up front, it's always difficult for a team to defend.

"I think that it was a good evening, we didn't do anything exceptional. We are just happy for the result."
