Kylian Mbappe 'driven' by scoring records as he averages a goal or assist every 85 minutes in career

Mbappé, 20, has now been directly involved in 130 first-team goals for club country since making his professional debut as a 16-year-old for AS Monaco in December 2015.

With a FIFA World Cup title in his list of achievements already, the explosive attacker has now set his sights on breaking personal records - as he his brace against Nimes made him the youngest to score 50 times in the French top-flight.

The record previously held by Yannick Stopyra, who was one month shy of his 22nd birthday at the time - Mbappe looks poised to rip through the French football history books with PSG.

Mbappe told reporters after the result, as per BR: "I work every day to help my team as much as possible. I want to enjoy my football because it is great fun. Scoring goals and breaking records is what drives me."

The £166 million (R3bn) signing has now scored 27 goals and registered 14 assists in 31 games across all competitions this season.
