Serie A wrap

Franck Ribery's impressive solo effort was not enough to help Fiorentina dent Lazio's title hopes in the Serie A on Saturday.

Ribery put Viola ahead in the 25th minute with a neat finish after weaving his way past a few Lazio defenders.

The hosts had to wait until the 67th minute for the equaliser when Ciro Immobile converted a penalty after Felipe Caicedo was brought down.

It was left to Luis Alberto to secure the win with a composed finish from 20-yards out to move Lazio to within four points of Juventus.

Cagliari secured the spoils after defeating Torino in a six-goal thriller on Saturday night.

The hosts cemented 10th spot for another weekend, after Nahitan Michel, Giovani Simeone, Radja Nainggolan and Joao Pedro all netted on the night.

Bremer and Andre Belottli were on target for Torino, who sit only six points clear of the relegation zone.

Genoa ralied back from two goals down to secure a point at bottom-placed Brescia on Saturday afternoon.

The hosts raced into a two-goal lead thanks to strikes from Alfredo Donnarumma and Alessandro Semprini.

However, Iago Falque reduced the defitic before the halftime break while Andrea Pinamonti grabbed the equaliser in the 70th minute.
