Cristiano Ronaldo transfer news: Nani predicts Juventus exit to MLS

Nani has revealed where former Manchester United teammate Cristiano Ronaldo hinted he may end up should he opt to leave Juventus.

Ronaldo, 35, has been linked with an off-season departure from the Serie A champions, just two seasons into his four-year contract.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner arrived in Italy after nine glittering years with Real Madrid, where he lifted four UEFA Champions League titles.

And his former Manchester United teammate Nani, who now captains Orlando City in Major League Soccer believes his compatriot could join him in the United States.

"A couple of years ago, he told me that he will probably end up in America," Nani told ESPN FC. "It's not 100% but probably. There is a chance. It is a great league."

While the veteran winger admits he had his doubts about MLS before his arrival, he concedes the structure and organisation is an area that impressed him.

"It's not 100% but probably. There is a chance. It is a great league," Nani explained.

"Obviously there are points where we must improve as a league, even in the quality of the players.

"Here you have fantastic clubs, well organised with fantastic conditions, great coaches, great players. You see every season improving," he said.

"I think we all have the conditions in this league. We are in a great country. Everything is around us. It is all about being better, not being afraid to improve."
