Zidane: Mbappe will make history at Real Madrid

France legend Zinedine Zidane had some special praise for Kylian Mbappe ahead of his move to European giants Real Madrid.

Los Blancos officially confirmed the arrival of the Frenchman on a free transfer last week, with the announcement crashing their website.

Mbappe will join a Madrid team who are the current UEFA Champions League and LaLiga winners after a wonderful campaign.

There has been talk about how Mbappe will fit in at Real, considering he plays the same position as current talisman Vinicius Junior.

Even with all those hurdles, Zidane claims Mbappe will surpassed all the French players who played at the Santiago Bernabeu.

"He will make history at Real Madrid. I think he will surpass all the great French players, including myself",  Zidane told TF1, via Diario AS.

"Looking at him, I think he will surpass the others."

Zidane has been out of the coaching scene since 2021, but he reveals he does miss it sometimes.

"Now I'm busy in another way," he told Carre.

"Sometimes I miss everyday life. Even if everyday life as a coach is 'hot'.

"I took a break which has become a great break. I miss it from time to time."
