Manchester United have now reportedly opened talks with three managers, despite their FA Cup success under Erik ten Hag.
Erik ten Hag's future at United remains a mystery, with reports suggesting that the club's hierarchy still intends to cut ties with the Dutchman following a disappointing Premier League campaign that saw them finish eighth.

The Red Devils beat arch-rivals Manchester City on Saturday to lift the FA Cup, Ten Hag's second title in as many seasons. However, that success is reportedly unlikely to buy him more time at the club.
According to The Standard, United representatives have already begun talks with three managers as they seek a replacement for Ten Hag, namely former Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino, Brentford coach Thomas Frank, and Roberto De Zerbi, who will leave Brighton Hove Albion next month.
It is said the Red Devils will conduct an end-of-season review this week, which is set to determine the future of Ten Hag, who is said to have left England on Sunday to go on holiday.

The 54-year-old spoke on his future following his FA Cup win, defiantly stating that if he is not wanted, he will go and win trophies elsewhere.
"If they don't want me any more then I go anywhere else to win trophies," Ten Hag said, according to Manchester Evening News.
"I am in a project and we are exactly where we want to be. We are on our way to constructing a team for the future.
"I will go with ups and downs. When I took over we were in a mess at United. The team is developing, the team is winning and at the end of the day it is about winning trophies and the team also plays to an identity.
"But you need the players to be available and need a strong squad in top football, especially when you play in England and Europe. The Premier League is so competitive so you need a very good squad and you need players available.
"There is still a lot of work to do but we are exactly where we are, we have value in the squad, high potentials progressing very good, the team is progressing and we are winning trophies. Two trophies in two years is not bad, three finals in two years is not bad.
"We have to keep going. I'm not satisfied with it, we have to do better and if they don't want me any more then I go anywhere else to win trophies because that is what I did my whole career."
