Manchester United have reportedly offered Barcelona one of their highest-paid players at a cut price deal.
Defender Raphael Varane has not enjoyed the best of the campaigns, as he has found himself dropping down the pecking order behind Harry Maguire and Jonny Evans.
The Frenchman's current deal is expected to expire at the end of the current season, which allows him to open negotiations with a different club.

According to Teamtalk, the Red Devils are ready to sell to the World Cup-winning defender for around €20million in the January transfer window.
The report adds that Varane has been offered to Barcelona after his former club Real Madrid decided against signing the player despite their injury troubles in defence.
Meanwhile, United manager Erik ten Hag did confirm on Friday that the club are talking Varane's camp about the player's future.
"We are talking with Rapha Varane, with Anthony Martial, and we triggered the options on Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Victor Lindelof and Hannibal," Ten Hag said, as per Mirror.
When pressed more on Varane and Martial, the coach added, "I think that is an internal discussion between the club and the player."
