The latest offer for in-demand African star Fiston Mayele could reportedly rise to around a whopping R53 million.
Attempts to lure Mayele away from reigning CAF Champions League holders Pyramids FC have largely hit a brick wall so far.
Courted by various clubs in Africa and the Middle East, Mayele is undoubtedly one of the most highly sought-after stars in African football right now, having won the Champions League Golden Boot with nine goals last season.

Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns are just two of the clubs linked with his signature during this period, while there are also reports of serious interest from multiple Saudi Pro League teams.
Saudi outfits Al Riyadh and Al-Fateh were reportedly considering signing Mayele.
However, it is now reported that a Saudi giant has entered the race and is prepared to spend heavily on the player.
According to AfricaFoot, Al Ahli are considering submitting a bid of €2.58 million (approximately R53 million) for Mayele.
Al Ahli recently parted ways with their striker captain and former Liverpool star Roberto Firmino.
Mayele could fill that vacant role while offering support to Al Ahli's lead striker and England international Ivan Toney.
