Ten Hag sends plea to Man Utd fans over Rashford

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has made a plea to the supporters after the criticism directed at Marcus Rashford.

The Red Devils attacker made a post on X (formerly Twitter) says he has received plenty of abuse for months.

Rashford registered 30 goals in all competitions last season, but has only been to contribute with eight this time around, prompting criticism from all over.

Ten Hag has now called on the fans to support the 26-year-old to help push him back to those levels.

"I have a lot of sympathy for Rashy, of course," Ten Hag said, as per the Mirror.

"Last year he had a brilliant season, the best season of his career scoring 30 goals so you see what he is capable of.

"This season he didn't give the performances and people are very critical. I think we have to back him.

"Everyone should back him and push him to get back to the levels he was last year.

"I think he needs the support.

"We all know what he's capable of, we all have to support and push him. He can do better than this year. We saw last year when he was really brilliant."
