The Dutch tactician made the comments after United's loss to Arsenal in September last year, before Sancho publically released a statement on social media rejecting the coach's comments.
The English winger has been a regular figure for Dortmund in the last couple months and Ten Hag reveals he has been following the player.
"Of course, I follow international football and follow the players on loan at other clubs," Ten Hag said, as per Manchester Evening News.
"It was a fantastic game - Dortmund against Atletico Madrid. Great performance from Dortmund and for Jadon it's good news, he made his contribution to the result for Dortmund.
"No (nothing has changed about his future), but we know Jadon Sancho is a fantastic football player, so that is not a surprise for us. That is not the issue."
Sancho's Dortmund will French champions Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League semi-finals.
