With Lionel Messi working his way back to full fitness, the date he could make his Paris Saint-Germain debut on has now reportedly been revealed.
Messi was unveiled in front of the French club's fans ahead of PSG's 4-2 win over Strasbourg on Saturday, but recent reports suggest that the Ligue 1 team's supporters may have to wait a while longer before seeing the Argentine make his debut for his new club.

With the superstar having joined up for pre-season training at a later date than most due to a lengthy 2020/21 campaign that included leading his nation to the 2021 Copa America title, the six-time Ballon d'Or winner is "likely to make his PSG debut on 29 August" against Stade Reims, according to Sky Sports.

Manager Mauricio Pochettino revealed after Les Parisiens' victory over Strasbourg that the former Barcelona forward had only trained twice since signing, making it unlikely that he willfeature in PSG's away league game against Brest on Friday.
"As for when we might see Leo (Messi); it is his second day of training after a month since he played the last game at the Copa America," the Argentine tactician said in a post-match press conference, per the Daily Mail.
"We will take it step by step, get to know each other, and have him feel fit and comfortable so that he is able to make his debut when he is fully fit."
