Paris Saint-Germain restored their six-point lead at the top of Ligue 1 after trashing Ajaccio 5-0 on Saturday night.
PSG coach Christophe Galtier recalled Messi after he returned to training this week following a club suspension, while Achraf Hakimi was back in the side after missing the win over Lorient due to a suspension.
The home side carved out the first real opening after 13 minutes when Mickael Barreto got on the end of a cross, but could only direct his header straight at goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.
The league leaders went on to break the deadlock in the 22nd minute through midfielder Fabian Ruiz, who surged into the box before rifling the ball beyond goalkeeper Francois-Joseph Sollacaro.
PSG continued to dominate and managed to bag a second goal on 35 minutes when Francois-Joseph Sollacaro parried Kylian Mbappe's shot into the path of Hakimi, who made no mistake from close range.
The third goal arrived for the home side shortly after the break when Mbappe collected a pass from Hugo Ekitike before firing home his 25th league goal of the season.
The onslaught continue as Mbappe secured his second goal of the net in the 54th minute with a well-taken volley that left Sollacaro with no chance, making it 4-0 to the home side.
Galtier's men went in search of more goals and were rewarded with a fifth goal in the 73rd minute courtesy of an own goal from Mohamed Youssouf.
The game did boil over late in the contest when both sides finished the game with ten men after PSG's Hakimi and Ajaccio's Thomas Mangani were given their marching orders for off-the-ball incidents.
